I was searching the Internet for something completely unrelated and came across this blog with a picture of a Celebrity Cruises ship docked in Ushuaia on December 2, 2007. I am currently sitting at my computer at home in Denver, Colorado on December 23rd reading your comments about Celebrity Cruise passengers in which I was on that ship that very day! And I studied the "little" ship next to us with great interest. Tales of the Explorer ship sinking were scattered all over my ship and we wondered what might happen when we rounded Cape Horn. However, the captain said over the speaker system that the weather was unusually calm, and the sky was clear...at least while we rounded the Cape. Even though we didn't reach Antartica, I felt so close! And those involved with Explorer were definitely on my mind. Thanks for the blog.
